Lauren earned her MA in curriculum and instruction with a focus on learning technologies from the University of Texas at Austin. Her studies centered on exploring the definition, affordances and history of micro-learning as well as emerging learning technologies. She also holds a BA in mass communication with a focus on journalism from Winona State University.

Lauren has worked as an instructional designer for more than 10 years. Her experience includes developing sales and product training for Kasasa, a financial services company, and creating multi-level certification programs in the electronics industry for National Instruments. Lauren developed leadership and coaching programs as well as a Leadership Learning Management System that housed 200+ pieces of content supporting 3,700+ executives and coaches. She also has experience in marketing and communications.

As an instructional designer with Learn, Lauren works in the micro-learning and emerging technology space. She is passionate about designing trainings from the learner’s point-of-view while keeping them engaged and primed to learn.
